embedded jpeg in raw ?

Offline
#1 csalome
Hi,

I use :
Lightroom 4
LRTimelapse 2 purchased recently
raw files on a Canon DSLR without embedding jpeg in raw to gain space.

Do i need to embed jpeg in raw files on my DSLR to use fully LRTimelapse and avoid a two pass workflow ?

Thanks.

Yes, LRTimelapse will need embedded jpgs to work!

Hi,

Does LRT use the separate JPG obtained while configuring RAW + JPG on my camera, or is the mini JPG always embedded in the RAW file sufficient for LRT ?

It' always the embedded JPG. No need to shoot RAW+JPG.

Günther,
which preview image do you use in (Nikon) NEF files?
The embedded Thumbnail-JPEG- or the embedded PreviewJEPG-image?

Would you mind to share by which formula LRTL2 is calculating the average brightness (in LRTL2 terms: the 'Mean') value?

Thanks,
Hans.

It's the preview images.
