I am considering to buy a new computer and in this respect, what is most important in order to reduce the rendering time in LRT? It looks to me it is CPU intensive, but does the GPU also influence the process? Other important factors?

GPU is not really relevant (neither for LRT nor LR). A big and fast SSD and a fast CPU and enough ram will help most!
