I have been using LRT4.7.5 without problems until I got a message today to install 4.8. I did it (Windows) and now I cannot start LRT. Help!

Hi Gunther, I have been experiencing some trouble as well, if I close LRT after doing adjustments to a sequence and I try to open it again, it launches the opening timelapse screen, it say it is loading the settings it then disappeares and can't be started, it doesnt matter how many times you try to start it, unless I switch off the PC, I'm using windows 10.

First thing to debug would be to restart the computer. This normally should get you going and LRTimelapse should start.
If this doesn't help, do a clean computer restart, uninstall LRTimelapse (via control panel). Then install it again. Try launching it.

@rodrigo if I understand this correctly, after restarting your computer you could launch LRTimelapse? Please clarify.
If LRTimelapse hangs on startup, please grab the logfile from C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\LRTimelapse\LRTimelapse.log and post it here.

Hi Gunther, I started the pc and done some file cleaning from the trash can using McAfee LiveSafe; there were many files to delete, so whilst it was cleaning I decided to launch LRT, it started up, showed the logo then it disappeared, clicked again but I can't started it, everything else is working fine in the pc. here is the log.

Now Mcafee have finished cleaning the rubbish, as I press the launch for LRT it wont start at all, I will re-start the pc and see what happens.

Hi Gunther,

I restarted the pc and still wouldn't load the program, it would just freeze after the opening logo.
I decided to uninstall LRT and then reinstalled, it prompted me to allow for ExifTool.exe to be upgraded, which I did and so far I have managed to start it, close it and restarted it again without problems.

regards,

Rodrigo
