Hey all.
So hopefully I can get some advice on how to best setup my Premiere projects for the best performance.
I have the 15.4-inch Retina with 2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor and 16gb ram and a 500gb solid state internal. Also at my disposal I have 2 x 5400rpm 500gb usb3 drives.
I am struggling to get realtime playback using the HQ mp4 renders from LRTimelapse. I have dropped the playback and paused resolutions down to 1/4 and have experimented with placing the cache and scratch disks on both the internal solid state and on one of the usb3 drives and I still cannot get realtime playback.
Does anyone have any advice on what an ideal setup regarding the cache and scratch disks using what I have available?
Also in the sequence settings for playback, would anyone have any advice on that the best preview settings would be. I have been experimenting with these but I have not found one that helps me out really.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Attached please find a grab of my current sequence settings. I am working in 1920x1080 at 25fps in pal.
