I use Apple products but due to the insane issues with ControlMyCamera and the Apple App Store I am thinking a better approach would be to purchase a cheap Android Tablet and use QDSLR Dashboard. I can purchase a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7" Quad-Core 1GB RAM 8GB Android 5.1.1 for $99 CDN whole supplies last. Alternatively a Samsung Galaxy Tab A Tablet 8'' TFT 2GB, 32GB Flash Android 9.0 can be had for $150 CDN. Will either of these get the job done for holy grail shooting. The only task that I will use this tablet for is shooting holy grail sequences with QDSL Dashboard.

I've not tried them, but nearly any Android device should work (including old phones, which are also a cheap option). I'm still on a 6 years old Nexus 7 2013, which works perfectly.
