D800 internal timer mode -> change exposure?

Offline
#1 AndiB
Hi everybody,

I'll be shooting a timelapse with a borrowed D800 soon and I was wondering if anybody knows if I can change the exposure (by manually ramping ISO) while I use the internal Timer function of the D800?
Otherwise I'd need to get an external intervalometer too.

My internet search did only bring up guieds and howtos for the intervall setups itself.

Cheers,
Andi

Ok. Figured it out myslef :-)

Yes it is easily possible to change the exposure settings with the D800 while in Interval-Timer-Shooting Mode.
The top Display shows all relevant data and changing Aperture and Exposure Time is easily done with the dials. Even ISO is is accessible.

Tested with a D800 in Manual Exposure Mode.

All the best,

Yes that works fine with the bigger Nikons, it does not work with the D5xxx however, there you will need an external interval timer.
