Hi All,

I have a Dynamic Perception Stage 1 slider and 2m of rail. Its 210cm toothed-belt is stretched in a couple of places (the cart reaches those spots, and skips a belt-tooth), so I need to replace it.

I'm assuming that it's a "standard" belt of some type, but of what type, I don't know (I doubt DP created a proprietary belt). Does anyone else know, and can maybe point me to a UK-accessible source?

I won't order a new one from DP because, even though their store is still online, I've heard from several sources that they are no longer in business. My direct evidence is that they didn't fulfil an order I made from them: their store accepted my money for both a part and shipping, but didn't ship it, and they reply to no emails.

The first place I thought of is RS Components UK. When i looked up their website here in Australia it is possible to select from a filter list to narrow down length, pitch, height etc but this isn't on the UK website. My suggestion would be to access the Australian site and take the stock number to the UK site. Here are the links;

Hi Otto. Are you asking for info on how my cart is jumping teeth, or info on where I (hopefully) find some replacement toothed belts for my Stage 1? (which I was planning on doing, if successful :-)

Well, there is _one_ reason I'm happy the Dynamic Perception site is still up and running. When I went to their link for replacement belts, and clicked on "Package Contents", there were the technical details of the belt: "Pitch: HTD5m Width: 9mm". So a friend of mine found this link that we think is where DP ordered their belts from:
