As the first image of a sequence is the image #1, what about starting to count with that image #1 instead of #0 ?

When switching back & forth from LR to LRT, it would be even easier to find the same image, as it would have same number in both applications...

Yes you are right, in Lightroom this is the case. In After Effects however the image counter starts at zero. Blame Adobe for that!
I might consider adding an option to the settings to be able to chose where LRTimelapse starts counting.
