LRTImport performance

I'm new to LRTimelapse, and am experiencing extremely slow import performance. Or perhaps the bottleneck is JPG->DNG conversion, I'm not sure. I've selected an old sequence of 492 JPG images and checked the box to convert to DNG, and it's taking about 40 seconds per image to convert and import.

I'm using a 2021 Lenovo Thinkpad X1 laptop running Windows 10, with an Intel i7 CPU running at 1.80 GHz and 16GB of RAM, and no other apps are running. Is hardware the problem? Something else to try? Any tips appreciated. Thanks!

The Adobe DNG Converter unfortunately cannot directly convert JPGs to DNG, this means this also doesn't work with the LRTimelapse importer. I think you are getting timeouts when trying to do this (check info menu / show log).
If you want to convert your JPGs to DNG, import them without converting them, then go to Lightroom and convert them in Lightroom. Lightroom is the only Software I know that can wrap JPGs into DNG containers.

Ah, got it. Thanks much! That does seem to be what was happening (timeouts).
