macOS Big Sur with LRT 555 Fails to Start Render

Offline
#1 Larr2000
Ok, I have upgraded to macOS (11.0.1) and LRTimelapse (5.5.5) released on 2020-10-30.

After multiple times, LRT 5.5.5 fails to render the final set of images (jpg). The LRT render window does appear, but all features on the menu are locked out. Only way out is to FQ. Lightroom shows no errors. Too bad we can't post images for review or access an error log.

Quick Update:
Just tried "Render Direct" and it locks up too.........

Extra comment. Have been shooting/processing Holy Grail for several years and LRT is the best tool for processing you will find. I commend Gunter for all his hard work, making the process flow simpler, offering free updates and optimizing performance. My eGpu hardly comes on during a render....
Thank you Gunter
Continue the GREAT WORK!!

Thanks for the Kudos.
There are a couple of things to consider on new Mac OS, see the install page: https://lrtimelapse.com/install/
Especially:
Quote:On Mac Big Sur: System Preferences / General: “Prefer tabs:” must not be set to “always”. Please set it to “in full screen”.
Please try again and send me a screenshot and the log if it fails again,
You can access the log under Documents/LRTimelapse
You can send everything to support(at)lrtimelapse.com or attach it here.

After checking System Preferences / General: “Prefer tabs: is set to "full Screen". But after LRT 5.6.2 the render screen still does not appear AFTER all the jpgs are created.

FULL DISK ACCESS for LRT is set and checked....and FILES AND FOLDERS is ghosted (not highlighted) as expected .....
Just checked the EXPORT LOG file and it is still on 561 but is rendering all 3164 jpgs. Export is going to the correct volume....
Waiting for all images to be exported and moved from the var/folders/fq.....

After 4 hours, LRT was not launched (Skipped).

After a successful export usually Lightroom writes an interface file that LRTimelapse reads and then launches the render dialog.
If one of the applications is blocked from writing / reading to the file system, this might fail.
Therefore please make sure to enable "Full Disk Access" to Lightroom, LRTimelapse and the Adobe DNG Converter, as explained here: https://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-wil...-and-later
In any case you can always launch any render task from LRTimelapse manually, by going to File / Render Video and selecting the intermediary sequence that you just exported from Lightroom.

Yes, both LRT and Adobe DNG Converter have either FULL DISK or FILES AND FOLDERS, but still will not launch render dialog....

Your log says that you have either selected "Skip LRTimelapse rendering" in the Lightroom Export Dialog or the Path to the "LRTimelapse Executable" in that dialog has not been correctly set. Please double check!
Code:

The latest export log says the same thing... Calling Interface to LRTimelapse with /Volumes/G-Training1/CameraTests/Arsenal/Rendered/LRT_20210901_Arsenal104_CR134_LRT562_
2021-09-11 20:39:30.1200000-07:00, DEBUG Interface-File: /Users/larrycunningham/Documents/LRTimelapse/LRTInterface.txt
2021-09-11 20:39:30.1670000-07:00, DEBUG Skipped launching LRTimelapse.

The LRTinterface log does not indicate why the render dialog will not open... Training1/CameraTests/Arsenal/20210901A Arsenal/JPG>>dialog
/Volumes/G-Training1/CameraTests/Arsenal/Rendered/LRT_20210901_Arsenal104_CR134_LRT562_>>/Volumes/G-Training1/CameraTests/Arsenal/20210901 Arsenal/RAW>>dialog

Earlier you said to check the executable file. I am looking through the LRTimelapse LOG for some indication the video render has been skipped.....not finding it.
Any more suggestions?

As I said, you need to have the Executable configured correctly in the Lightroom Export dialog.
In your case Lightroom is not writing the interface file because it cannot find the main LRT Application.

It's important that you have the LRTimelapse Application at the default place (Applications) and set the path as shown in the screenshot attached. If you moved the Application or the path is incorrect it won't work.
