We had this in LRT3 but it made the deflicker more complicated to use and understand. Yet all users have been very happy with the way it works currently in LRT4.
For your special use case you could try to select only the parts of the sequence that are not affected by the bridges (use shift and ctrl-shift to select all those parts, leaving out the bridges. Then apply deflicker or refine. This would then only affect the selected parts.
