Much better quality but only of use, IMHO, if you’re producing content for a medium that demands that level of quality. For instance, if I were commissioned to produce a timelapse video in HDR for a television manufacturer wanting an in-store demo video that showcases their product's capability, I'd be working with a TIFF sequence. Bear in mind, though, that the TIFF sequence will consume a large chunk of your storage. Be prepared for that.
