Hey guys, this might be a simple question but I have a used D5100 that i never got any cables for, and wanted to connect my ipad mini 2 to the camera to use the app to shoot a holy grail sequence. There is a "GPS" connector and a "A/V" connector on the camera next to the HDMI, which is the right USB cable i need to use? Also do I need anything outside the app for my ipad to make this connection work? Much appreciated

You'll need the TPLink router, since with iOS devices a direct USB connection won't work. Check this article: http://lrtimelapse.com/gear/dslrdashboard/

The USB Cable that you will use to connect the TPLink ist the original USB cable for the nikon D5100, for example this one: http://amzn.to/1QCTzAa
