Night to day (Holy Grail) exposure jumps - sican - 2013-06-02 Hi Gunther, thanks for your awesome work. I stayed up all night yesterday to shoot a holy grail timelapse of the sunrise. Camera in manual mode, 7 exposure changes (Holy Grail keyframes) over 1:30 hours. After following the workflow, even after deflickering (smooth: 20, strength: 20), there are still exposure jumps. Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfRVX3xw4kQ Where have I done wrong? Is it in post-processing (reference area, deflicker, etc.)? Or in my technique, i.e. too few exposure changes (7)? Let me know, if you have the time! Cheers, Alex RE: Night to day (Holy Grail) exposure jumps - Michael Lloyd - 2013-06-03 Looks like you let it over expose the sky before you adjusted. Once the frame is overexposed there is no way to recover the data. So you get a jump. RE: Night to day (Holy Grail) exposure jumps - Gunther - 2013-06-03 Please leave the deflicker off for holy grail sequences since there is no flicker in your sequence. |
