Holy Grail - Highlight flickering?

Offline
#1 jellybobo
I just upgrade my LRtimelapse to 3.2 RC2 today.
After try it out with my holy Grail sequence. Everything work smoothly.
Then I notice that after "Auto transition for special Keyframe " highlight area between ** and *** of almost every HG sq do not sync (but everything else sync nicely)

I tried this sequence before with prevrious version and it didn't flicker like this.
I'm still new with this programe so please let me know where I might missed out.

The reason might be that you kind of over edited the sequence, too much contrasts, blacks, clarity.
Try to edit a bit more subtile.

Check out the holy grail tutorial if you haven't, to see if you did the workflow correctly as well!

Hi Gunther,
I follow your tutorial ( I even download your vimeo tutorial to double check my workflow lol )
I tried again with no enhance with special keyframe. There are still little flicker on highlight area.
Thank you to point out. Will keep my heavy hand away from those contrast!

hi jellybobo:
My guess: too large EV-jumps during capturing (everything larger than 2/3 or 1 EV can be a problem), maybe there are overexposed areas also - check histograms of the pictures before the jumps.

True to that. When you mention EV jump I just remember that this sequence was a badly HG shot. It jump too much and blown out highlight are after the jump. When I first edit this sequence. I push to left side of HG to over expose just to match to right side of HG.
