What is the situation with backing up images in the LR catalog? When you put a sequence through the LR & LRTImelapse procedure do you then have to backup the images or can you just backup the original images straight away? For example I know you are reading and writing meta data through the process but does that affect the original images or is it just processing information that is already there.
Just what to know if I need to hold back on backing up to other drives before or after I make the final time-lapse movies?

When shooting RAW or DNG the original files are not touched, only the small XMP files.
When shooting JPG, the Metadata is however being written into the JPGs (Adobes idea...).
