I'm a somewhat experienced motion Timelapse shooter. I've worked with Dynamic Perception gear, owned Konova and most recently Syrp. I use my gear for everything from star lapse to parallax videography interviews and I shoot in extremely cold winter conditions (over 4+ hours) and in hot conditions as well. I'm also a travel videographer.
I currently have the Syrp short and long rail and have the Genie 2 Linear and the Mini 2 and normally pair them. However, the Mini has died and the Genie 2 camera control input has broken.
Question: as I plan on spending not more than $1,500 and want the capabilities of motion pan/tilt, do you think I should go with purchasing the Syrp Genie II Pan Tilt, being that I already have the Syrp rail systems, or should I make the jump again to another system?
I want pan/tilt functionality, that will stand up to cold winter conditions, and is known to be decently reliable. I know there are cheaper systems and am curious about the Trexo Slider 3 Axis.
Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!
