Render problems

Offline
#1 Neil
Hi Gunther,

The problem I am having is -

Rendered video is unwatchable, very stuttery

Output Settings

From LR to LRT - JPG, 8 Bit, Original

LRT to Video - ProRes , Source Resolution, 30FPS, 1:1 default, 422, Wide (BT.0220) - nothing else ticked

Camera

5D Mark iii

Raw Images 28.4 MB

5760x 3840

Software/mac

LRT - 5.4 Pro

LR - 9.2.1

macOS Catalina 10.15.5

imac 21.5 late 2012
2.7 GHz Quad- Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512MB

I would like to add multiple time lapses together using the highest quality available from my files and then do further post production in Ae and Pr and output with music at 4K

I have tried taking the images from LR after deflicker in LRT straight into Pr with the same outcome. The end result is continually stuttering, not smooth at all.

Rendered videos are the same in Quicktime and VLC and at 16:9, they do work perfectly at 1080.

Can you help please?

Thanks Neil

That's most likely because you are rendering in source resolution. From the specs of your computer I'd think that even 4k might be too much for it, but that's what I'd try. Go to file/render video in Lrtimelapse, load the exported intermediary sequence and render in 4k uhd. The try those files.

But even then, I don't think you'd have much fun editing in 4k with that computer...
