Hmm, I was trying to import direct from the SD card via a reader, I have now saved the images to the Mac so will see if this will allow it to Add rather than Copy.

Yes, that was the answer. As you can tell I'm new to this, but thank you for your help, much appreciated Monika.

Yes, when the files are on the SD-Card, Lightroom won't allow to "add" them to the catalog (that makes sense).
For LRTimelapse you should always have the images on a SSD or Harddrive before starting the workflow. The recommended way is to use the LRTimelapse importer, to bring the files from the SD-Card to your SSD or Harddrive.

Hello.  I have read through this entire post..  I have followed all steps precisely and no matter what I do, once I import into lightroom Library in grid view none of the pictures are marked with 4 stars.  When I click on the filter for LTR keyframe, no pictures show up.  Even when I go to Full LTR sequence in Library module, do a select all, and force a read of metadata, the keyframes still do not show.  I have followed the troubleshooting steps provided above and I can't get past Step 8 in your troubleshooting steps because there are literally no key frames.  I have imported the images using LTR and working on the same folder in which the images are imported.  I looked at the XMP data using a text editor and I see where the keyframe image has a rating of 4 as it should, and the other images which are not keyframes have no rating as they should, but lightroom does not translate that over after import.  I'm at wits end. I have uninstall everything to include my lightroom and LTR and did a clean install and still I can't get this to work.

Steps: complete uninstall using supplied uninstaller for LRTimelapse and reinstall using the most up-to-date download from your site.
Updated DNG converter to 9.1 (newest mac version
Deleted all sequence files from the computer and emptied trash
Verified correct process version is set to LRCC
imported files from SD card using LRT importer from SD card, to Harddrive folder.
Opened Visual workflow
click on the folder that was created by the Importer step above
Waited for all information to update in the sequence
Clicked on keyframes wizard
Dragged until 2 keyframes shows
click on save and wait for the blue save bar to finish
open light room and change to library module and grid view, checked that auto write to XMP data is unchecked (it is)
Verified the Date and time mirrors of LRT images match the time the photos were taken with my camera (they do)
Dragged the drag go lightroom button over to LR
clicked on "Add" (was already defaulted to his) and made sure that no processes were chosen during import.  (Files imported)
Clicked on filter tab and chose LRT keyframes filter. (all images go away)
Clicked on LRT full sequence and verified that the first image and last image had a rating of 4 stars (they do not!!)
Verified still in library module, select all images and right click and read metadata from image. (Still no keyframes transferred over from LRT)
Opened the XMP file using Text reader, verified the two images that are key frames have a 4 star rating... (They both do)
Screamed and threw a temper tantrum
Went back to LRT clicked metadata - Clear metadata...  chose no to initialize right away
removed folder from LR
Right clicked folder and cleared all LRT editing
Clicked metadata - initialize metadata
Clicked on keyframes wizard and selected 2 keyframes
changed keyframe one Exposure 2012 to 1.0
changed keyframe two exposure 2012 to 2.0
clicked save and waited for blue status bar to finish
re-dragged the Lightroom button to lightroom library module in grid view
waited for import to finish
Same results as before (no keyframes, no 4 star images)
Tried to read metadata again, still no change
Checked the develop module and no pre-defined gradient maps either (always show is selected)

I'm about screams away from asking for a full refund. I've never been able to get the app to work yet!

So your lightroom is not reading the metadata, that's strange, since you seem to have checked all the possible reasons for that.
I wonder why there are so many "file converted to DNG" entries in the log, did you use LRTimelapse to convert to DNG? Are you working on a DNG sequence or on the original NEF? Is Lightroom referencing to the same files? I'd suggest making it working with NEF first.

Maybe you could just make a test folder where you put only one NEF file. Then load that folder into LRTimelapse, make sure a keyframe is set on that image, save. Bring this folder to Lightroom by importing (add). Check if the Metadata travels (Image should have 4*). If not, go to "Metadata / Read Metadata from Files" - does that bring the 4* to the image in Lightroom?

ok... so.
1.  I used the LRT import function to import from a SD card, into LRT and checked the DNG box since I always covert my images to DNG on import
2.  Yes I use LRTimelapse to convert to DNG during import
3.  I'm working on the DNG sequence that I imported, the original NEF files are on the SD card which I removed after importing.
4.  So I reimported the NEF files from the SD card with no DNG conversion into a different folder from the original import to see if its a problem with a DNG sequence vs NEF sequence
5.  Followed the work flow step by step and EVERYTHING WORKS!!!  I also have the default gradients as expected.  Was able to generate a video with no problem
6.  So I know NEF works without issues, Decided to delete everything and try a DNG sequence again and DNG does not work.  I wonder if the newest version of Lightroom might have broken the ability to read/write xmp Metadata between LRTimelapse and Lightroom.  For now I guess I can only do the workflow in NEF format until a workaround is determined for those like me who usually do everything in DNG.

I'll check Dng behavior with the latest Lightroom upgrade when I'm back in office, but I've not had any other report about this not working yet.

I've just tested the DNG workflow with the latest Lightroom CC 2015.10 and it works without problems for me.
Could you please send me a short sequence with your DNGs (5 frames is enough) via https://fromsmash.com/ to support(at)lrtimelapse(dot)com then I will test with those too.
