to totally reset my sequence and to start new, I am always using a "hack":
I open folder in Adobe Bridge, select "show hidden files", then I delete ".lrt" subfolder and all ".xmp" files..

This somehow works better than "initialise sequence" directly in LRT

Am I missing something .. or should I just keep on reseting this way?

Initialize will just do clean XMP files but preserve previews, snapshots etc. If you just want to redo a sequence in LRT, it's the recommended way.
If you really want to reset everything, you can right click on a folder in LRT and choose "Clear all LRTimelapse editing". This will basically do the same as your "hack".

One more question:

- I installed licensed LRT 5 PRO on my 2015 macbook ... and it worked perfect
- now I tried to really start the project on my 2017 iMac (very strong machine)... it works much much slower (it worked fine with LRT 4, free version).

It shows "1% visual preview done" for the last 10 minutes (with Nikon Z6 files, that are much smaller than Z7)

What could be the reason?

Anyone? I am somehow in a hurry, I really expected that I would just continue work from my laptop on a much faster home computer... but its totally stuck in "visual previews" step...

I tried restart, I can not find nothing usefull to change in the settings..

Make sure that you have the latest DNG converter installed on that machine.
Restart the computer. Try again.
If the problems persist, send me the log file (info menu).
